Position Summary: The Wild School is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and dedicated individual to serve as the Executive Assistant to the Owner of the Wild School. This role is crucial in supporting the daily operations and strategic initiatives of our nature school. If you are passionate about outdoor education and have strong administrative skills, we would love to have you on our team.

Position Schedule: This is a part-time remote position with flexible hours. Some responsibilities may require availability during mornings and early afternoons.

​

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the owner, including managing schedules, appointments, and communications

  • Assist with the coordination and planning of school programs, events, and activities

  • Handle correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and social media messages

  • Maintain and organize school records, documents, and files

  • Support marketing and outreach efforts, including content creation for social media and newsletters

  • Assist with enrollment and registration processes

  • Coordinate with teachers, staff, and volunteers to ensure smooth daily operations

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission of The Wild School

Required Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience in an administrative or assistant role

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team

  • Passion for nature and outdoor education

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of local flora, fauna, and ecosystems

  • Basic outdoor skills, including navigation and safety

  • Ability to engage and inspire children and caregivers through storytelling, games, and hands-on activities

  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in an outdoor environment

  • Creativity and enthusiasm for nature-based learning

Preferred Skills/Training:

  • Experience in a school or educational setting

  • Familiarity with social media management and content creation

  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices

​

Compensation:

  • $15 per hour
